  • 320 g ready rolled puff pastry
  • 400 g beef sausages
  • 100 g apple sauce
  • 20 g dried apples
  • 1 tsp dried thyme
  • ¼ tsp sea salt
  • 1 egg (beaten)
  • 1 tsp sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 190°C (fan-assisted) or 210°C (non-fan). Line a baking tray with parchment paper.
  2. Remove casings from beef sausages and combine in a bowl with apple sauce, dried apples, thyme, and sea salt until mixed thoroughly.
  3. Cut the puff pastry in half lengthways and divide the sausage mixture equally between both strips.
  4. Place the sausage mixture in the center of each strip, brush one edge with beaten egg, and roll tightly to seal.
  5. Press down on the seam, cut into desired lengths, place on the baking tray, brush tops with beaten egg, and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
  6. Bake for about 20 minutes or until golden brown.
