Ingredients
- 320 g ready rolled puff pastry
- 400 g beef sausages
- 100 g apple sauce
- 20 g dried apples
- 1 tsp dried thyme
- ¼ tsp sea salt
- 1 egg (beaten)
- 1 tsp sesame seeds
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 190°C (fan-assisted) or 210°C (non-fan). Line a baking tray with parchment paper.
- Remove casings from beef sausages and combine in a bowl with apple sauce, dried apples, thyme, and sea salt until mixed thoroughly.
- Cut the puff pastry in half lengthways and divide the sausage mixture equally between both strips.
- Place the sausage mixture in the center of each strip, brush one edge with beaten egg, and roll tightly to seal.
- Press down on the seam, cut into desired lengths, place on the baking tray, brush tops with beaten egg, and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
- Bake for about 20 minutes or until golden brown.
