Ingredients
- 400g flank steak or sirloin, thinly sliced
- 2 cups broccoli florets
- 250g egg noodles
- 4 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp hoisin sauce
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp fresh ginger, grated
- 1 tsp cornstarch
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 1 tbsp light brown sugar
- 1 tsp rice vinegar
- 1 cup beef stock or water
- Chili flakes (optional)
Instructions
- Marinate beef slices with soy sauce, cornstarch, and sesame oil for 10 minutes.
- Cook egg noodles according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
- Mix sauce ingredients: soy sauce, hoisin sauce, light brown sugar, rice vinegar, and beef stock or water.
- Heat vegetable oil in a wok over medium-high heat; sear marinated beef until browned and then remove.
- In the same wok, stir-fry garlic, ginger, and broccoli for 2-3 minutes until bright green.
- Add back the beef and pour in the sauce; mix well.
