  • 13.8 oz tube refrigerated pizza dough
  • 3 black olives (for eyes)
  • Piece of red bell pepper (for tongues)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 teaspoons poppy seeds
  • 1 teaspoon sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  2. Prepare decorations by cutting black olives into small pieces for eyes and red bell pepper into forked tongues.
  3. Unroll the refrigerated pizza dough on a clean surface.
  4. Cut the dough into 12 strips and roll each strip into a 12-inch rope, tapering one end for the tail and flattening the other for the head.
  5. Wrap each rope around a greased wooden chopstick or metal straw, brush with olive oil, and sprinkle with poppy and sesame seeds.
  6. Add olive pieces on top of each breadstick head for eyes.
  7. Bake on parchment-lined baking sheets for 11-15 minutes until golden brown. Cool slightly before removing chopsticks.
  8. Insert pieces of red bell pepper as tongues while still warm.
