- 2/3 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 2 3/4 cups (345 g) all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon cornstarch
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup (226 g) unsalted butter, cold and cubed
- 3/4 cup (150 g) light brown sugar, packed
- 2/3 cup (130 g) granulated sugar
- 1 egg, plus 1 egg yolk, room temperature
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
- For the brownie cookie dough: Beat together butter and brown sugar until fluffy, then mix in egg and vanilla. Combine dry ingredients and fold into wet mixture, followed by chocolate chips.
- For the chocolate chip cookie dough: Cream together cold butter and sugars, add eggs one at a time, then incorporate vanilla. Mix in dry ingredients and chocolate chips.
- Scoop both doughs into uniform balls; combine one of each to form larger balls.
- Bake on prepared sheets for 8-9 minutes until edges are set but tops are slightly underbaked.
