  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup Italian breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 teaspoons Italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 cups fresh spinach, chopped
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese, divided
  • 2 cups marinara sauce, plus extra for serving
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a baking dish.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, eggs, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, milk, garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper; mix until incorporated.
  3. Spread half of the meat mixture in the baking dish.
  4. Layer with 1 cup mozzarella, chopped spinach, and 1/2 cup marinara sauce.
  5. Top with remaining meat mixture and seal edges well.
  6. Spread remaining marinara sauce on top.
  7. Bake for 45–50 minutes or until internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).
  8. Add remaining mozzarella on top and bake for an additional 5–10 minutes until melted.
  9. Let it rest for 10 minutes before serving.
