- 1 Earl Grey tea bag (or 1 teaspoon loose leaf)
- 4–5 fresh cherries, pitted and halved
- 1/2 cup milk (any type)
- 1–2 teaspoons vanilla syrup
- Optional: 1 cinnamon stick (for added warmth)
- 2 tablespoons water
Instructions
- In a small saucepan, combine the halved cherries with 2 tablespoons of water. Simmer over medium heat for 3-5 minutes until softened. Gently mash to release juices.
- Boil 1 cup of water in a kettle or pot and steep the Earl Grey tea bag or loose leaf for 3-5 minutes. Remove the bag or strain out leaves.
- Add milk and optional cinnamon stick to the cherry mixture in the saucepan, heating gently while stirring until warmed through.
- Stir in vanilla syrup into the milk-cherry mixture. Pour brewed tea into a mug and strain in the milk-cherry mixture, pressing down on cherries to extract more juice.
- Enjoy immediately while hot, or cool before serving over ice.
