  • 2½ cups sliced peaches (peeled and halved)
  • 1½ tablespoons sugar

  3. In a large bowl, whisk together flour (starting with 2¼ cups), sugar, baking powder, and salt. Cut in the cold butter until crumbly.

  5. Press half to two-thirds of the crumb mixture into the bottom of the prepared pan. Layer with peach mixture and top with remaining crumbs.
  6. Bake for 30-40 minutes until golden on top. Cool before serving.
