- 5 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and quartered
- 4 tsp all purpose flour
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- squeeze of lemon juice
- 1 1/2 cups all purpose flour
- 1/3 cup granulated sugar
- 2 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 Tbsp lemon zest
- 6 Tbsp butter, melted
- 1/2 cup heavy whipping cream
- 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
- raw sugar, for sprinkling (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a deep dish pie plate.
- In a large bowl, combine quartered strawberries, flour, sugar, and lemon juice. Spread in the prepared pie plate.
- In another bowl, mix flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and lemon zest. Create a well in the center; add melted butter, cream, and lemon juice. Stir until combined.
