Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, room temperature
  • ½ cup vegetable oil
  • 3 cups granulated sugar
  • 5 large eggs, room temperature
  • 1 cup whole milk, room temperature
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp lemon extract
  • 1 tsp almond extract
  • 1 tsp coconut extract
  • 1 tsp butter extract
  • 1 cup powdered sugar, sifted
  • 23 tbsp milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ½ tsp almond extract (optional for extra aroma)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 325°F (163°C). Grease and flour a bundt pan thoroughly to prevent sticking.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt until well combined.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, use an electric mixer to cream together the butter, vegetable oil, and granulated sugar until pale and fluffy. This should take about 4-5 minutes.
  4. Beat in each egg individually into the creamed mixture. Mix well after each addition until fully incorporated.
  5. Mix in all extracts—vanilla, lemon, almond, coconut, and butter—until evenly distributed throughout the batter.
  6. Alternate adding the dry ingredient mixture and whole milk. Start with dry ingredients and end with them. Mix until just combined; do not overmix.
  7. Pour the batter into the prepared bundt pan. Smooth the top with a spatula.
  8. Bake for 65-75 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  9. Cool in the pan for about 10-15 minutes before inverting onto a wire rack to cool completely.
  10. In a bowl, whisk together powdered sugar, milk or cream, vanilla extract, and almond extract until smooth. Adjust consistency by adding more sugar for thickness or more milk for thinness.
  11. Drizzle your prepared glaze over the cooled cake so it drips down beautifully along the sides.
