- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup crushed peppermint candies (divided)
- 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips (optional)
Instructions

- Melt the butter in a microwave-safe bowl or on the stovetop, then let it cool slightly.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the melted butter and sugar, mixing until smooth. Add eggs and vanilla, mixing well.

- Fold in half of the crushed peppermint candies and optional chocolate chips.
