  • 1 ½ cups granulated sugar
  • 1 cup unsalted butter (softened)
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 3 teaspoons baking powder
  • 3 cups vanilla buttercream
  • 1 bag chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a cupcake pan with paper liners.
  2. In a mixing bowl, cream together softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in milk.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together flour and baking powder; gradually add dry ingredients to wet mixture until just combined.
  5. Fill each cupcake liner about two-thirds full with batter and bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  6. Allow cupcakes to cool completely before frosting.
  7. Fit a piping bag with a large round tip, fill it with vanilla buttercream, and pipe ghost shapes onto each cupcake.
  8. Place two chocolate chips on each ghost for eyes.
