  • 1¼ cups canned pumpkin puree

  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 13 tsp milk, as needed

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×5 inch loaf pan.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, cloves, cardamom, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, mix canola oil and sugars until smooth. Add eggs, pumpkin puree, and vanilla extract; mix well.
  4. Gradually combine dry ingredients with wet ingredients until just mixed.
  5. Pour batter into the loaf pan and bake for about 55 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  6. Allow to cool before making the frosting by mixing cream cheese, butter, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth.
  7. Spread the frosting generously over cooled bread.
