Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine finely chopped cooked beef, shredded Swiss cheese, drained sauerkraut, and softened cream cheese until well blended.
- Chill the mixture in the refrigerator for 20–30 minutes to firm it up.
- Scoop tablespoon-sized portions and roll into uniform balls.
- Set up your breading station with separate bowls for flour, beaten eggs, and combined rye and panko breadcrumbs.
- Coat each ball in flour, dip in egg, then roll in breadcrumbs ensuring an even coating.
- Heat oil to 350°F (175°C) in a heavy frying pan and fry the balls in batches until golden brown (about 3–4 minutes).
