- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 6 tablespoons whole milk
- 5 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter (1 stick)
- 4 cups confectioners sugar
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- 1 cup pecans (chopped)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a 10×15 inch baking pan by greasing and flouring it.
- In a saucepan over low heat, melt the butter, then add water and cocoa powder. Bring to a boil and set aside.
- In a small bowl, whisk together sour cream and eggs until smooth.
- In your stand mixer bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking soda, and salt. Mix in the sour cream mixture until well combined.
- Gradually add the cooled cocoa mixture to the batter until just mixed.
