  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 2 cans (15 oz each) kidney beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 can (15 oz) pinto beans, drained and rinsed
  • 23 tbsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • ½ tsp cayenne pepper (optional)
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Prepare your ingredients: chop the onion and bell pepper, and mince the garlic.
  2. In a large pot over medium heat, brown the ground beef or turkey until fully cooked. Drain any excess fat.
  3. Add the onion, bell pepper, and garlic to the pot; sauté for about 5 minutes until softened.
  4. Stir in the diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, and beef broth; bring to a simmer.
  5. Add kidney beans, pinto beans, chili powder, cumin, paprika, cayenne pepper (if using), salt, and black pepper; mix well.
  6. Reduce heat to low and let simmer for about 45 minutes to an hour.
  7. Serve hot with desired toppings like shredded cheese and avocado slices.
